Q. What is Teledentistry?
A. Virtual consult, Teledentistry, or Telehealth is the use of electronic information, imaging, and communication technologies to provide and support dental care delivery, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, and the transfer of dental information and communication. These services have been a part of Sikka Dental since 2017. We make sure all communication is HIPAA and protected health information protected.
Q. Who is allowed to access these services?
A. At this time Teledentistry services are available to new and existing patients of Sikka Dental. Please note that New Patients will be required to complete all routine patient documents for complete patient records in addition to the Teledentistry consent listed below. These forms are available HERE.
If you would like to proceed in requesting a Teledentistry visit request please follow these steps:
- Complete and send in all needed Teledentistry Consent Form and paperwork needed via Email: [email protected] or Fax (408) 926-1422
- Click HERE to make a payment online for services through this website.
- Request an Appointment.
- Confirm Appointment details; once the provider has accepted your visit request and all paperwork has been received and reviewed a confirmation will be provided to you. Please consider your initial appointment request pending until a confirmation is received.
- Depending on the nature of your dental concerns all initial teledentistry visits will be via phone/text/or email. If additional visual methods are required a video appointment will be requested. Instructions for video setup will be provided, a web camera on a computer or phone application will be required for this feature.
